Types of In-House Lab Services We Offer

At Level One Urgent Care, our lab testing services can help diagnose and manage a wide range of health concerns.

X-Rays

We offer on-site X-ray services to assist in the diagnosis of fractures, joint injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. This procedure is safe and non-invasive.

Blood Tests

We offer a variety of blood tests to assess your overall health, screen for specific conditions, and monitor ongoing treatments.

  • Complete blood count (CBC) test: This test counts and measures your red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and hemoglobin levels.
  • Basic metabolic panel (BMP): This test measures several substances in your blood, such as calcium and sodium. It also helps screen for health issues, such as diabetes.
  • Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP): It includes all the measurements of a BMP as well as additional proteins and substances related to your liver function.
  • Lipid profile: This test checks the levels of two types of cholesterol: high-density (HDL) and low-density (LDL) cholesterol. HDL-cholesterol is often called good cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol is often called bad cholesterol.
  • Blood glucose test: It measures your blood glucose level to diagnose diabetes.
  • Thyroid function test: This test checks how well your thyroid produces and reacts to certain hormones.
  • Cardiac blood tests: These tests check if you are at risk of developing heart disease.
  • Arterial blood gas (ABG) test: This test measures oxygen and carbon dioxide levels to diagnose acute heart failure and cardiac arrest.

Urine Tests

Our urinalysis tests can provide valuable insights into kidney function, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and other health issues. There are three ways to analyze urine:

  • Visual exam to check the color and clarity. Cloudy urine may indicate dehydration, urinary tract infection (UTI), sexually transmitted infections (STIs), kidney stones, and diabetes.
  • Microscopic exam is performed to check for red blood cells, white blood cells, bacteria, and crystals, which may indicate conditions such as bladder, kidney, or urinary tract issues, inflammation, and infection.
  • Dipstick tests check for acidity, blood, glucose, nitrites, and waste products to determine whether a person may have heart failure, kidney or liver issues, dehydration, diabetes, or diarrhea.

Toxicology Tests

Toxicology tests check for traces of drugs or other chemicals in your blood, urine, or saliva. We may perform toxicology tests to check for substance abuse or if your new job, school, or insurance policy requires it.

Immunological Tests

At Level One Urgent Care, we offer advanced immunological tests to assess and monitor your immune system's function and response. Our immunological tests include:

  • Autoimmune disorder screening: We offer tests to detect antibodies and other markers associated with autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and celiac disease.
  • Allergy testing: Our allergy tests help identify specific allergens that trigger allergic reactions.
  • Infectious disease serology: We provide serological tests to detect antibodies produced by the immune system in response to various infectious agents. These tests help diagnose infections such as HIV, hepatitis, Lyme disease, and syphilis.

We also provide rapid testing for COVID-19 by testing specimens from your nose or mouth.
